Long time Apple convinces us that the iPad is the perfect tool for study and work, able to displace laptops. Among those who do not agree with this statement were the heads of the Department of education of Maine, decided to replace training on tablets laptops MacBook Air.
Apple has agreed to exchange the device without any additional payment from the Department of education. The main reason for this decision were the results of the study: 88.5% of teachers and 74% of students prefer tablets to laptops.
One of the teachers noted that “the tablets have no educational functions. Students will use the iPad as a toy”, which is almost impossible to work with text. “It’s just a games console, from which nothing but trouble”. — “Three years ago amid the success of tablets in the lower grades, we considered that the iPad is a great choice. But now it is obvious that for older students the tablets are not good”, – he noted.
For the autumn training period Apple will send 1781 laptop in two secondary schools in the state. It is worth noting that other schools are more sympathetic to the use of the iPad in the classroom.
