Samsung plans to copy Apple’s “live photo” for Galaxy S7

Samsung plans to offer in its new flagship smartphone Galaxy S7 features Live analog Photos – the photos with elements of video created using the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. It is reported by AndroidGeeks, citing informed sources.

Function “live photo” first became available in September 2015 at the flagship Apple’s smartphone. The basis for a Live Photo taken 12 megapixel picture, and before and after 1.5 seconds it recorded with motion and sound. Function initially demonstrated the possibilities of 3D touch technology in new iPhone. When you press the display picture turns into a short video. Live Photos can be viewed on other Apple devices including Apple Watch and Macs with OS X El Capitan.

Sources report that a similar feature will appear in the flagship smartphone Galaxy S7. Samsung is working on it already for some time. Function can debut together with the official presentation of the device or after some time with one of the software updates.

According to the publication, the name of the function is not already selected, in Seoul choose between Timeless Photo and Vivid Photo. Unlike Live Photos “live photos” Samsung will not capture audio and can be exported to any sites in the form of GIF images. In late December, Facebook announced the native support of Live Photos.

Samsung will not be limited to copying only the “live photo” in Apple. Earlier it became known that the flagship model of the new South Korean smartphone will have a discriminating effect of pressing a display similar to the 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s.
