Samsung is preparing for production of AMOLED displays of the 7th generation for smartphones with a pixel density of 800 ppi

As you know, Samsung, occupying 95% of the market OLED-displays for smartphones, will become the main supplier of display panels for the iPhone 8. According to analysts, UBI Research, the South Korean giant intends to increase the lead over competitors, starting production of OLED displays using substrates of the seventh generation (7G).

Samsung can install Galaxy S8 UHD matrix, but in the end, the company showed Infinity Display with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. For example, a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 4K has a density of 801 pixels per inch.

Analysts believe that the Chinese competitors, Samsung will launch the production of the OLED on the substrate of the 6th generation in Seoul contributes to the release of the 7G substrates for OLED display mobile devices.

According to preliminary data, the phablet Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be equipped with a 6.4-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and a resolution of 2160 x 4428 pixels (770 ppi). Therefore, the AMOLED panel of the 7th generation can appear in smartphones in 2018.
