Samsung Galaxy S8 will get an “infinite display”

This week was MWC 2017, during which a new image of the Samsung Galaxy S8, and the information that the announcement of the flagship will be held March 29 at the Unpacked event. The network has already slipped rumors that the device will be powered by a very unusual display in the style of the already announced LG G6. And after the publication of the first press picture of the model with clearly elongated screen no doubt.

According to the website of the Bureau of patents and trademarks USA (USPTO), the company intends to use the display of the Samsung Galaxy S8 as the basis for a marketing campaign. The South Korean manufacturer has registered the trademark “Infinity Display” (“Infinite display”), which, apparently, is directly related to the screen of the future flagship.

No details about what exactly is hiding under the term “Infinity Display” is not yet disclosed, but it is mentioned that Samsung has reserved the right to type the name of the desired font.

For the first time sources have received information about the Infinity Display last month. And then it was assumed that the name describes covers almost the entire front panel of the smartphone screen, which also comes on the side and creates the effect of infinity. A recently introduced press pictures Galaxy S8 suggested that the phone will get an elongated shape and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

According to South Korean newspaper the Investor, referring to informed sources, the beginning of taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S8 is scheduled for April 10 this year. The flow device is expected to sell on April 21.
