Edition SlashLeaks published a series of images which is said to have captured the most awaited Android flagship of the year — Samsung Galaxy S8.
Depicted in the photographs of the device quite match the official teaser Samsung released earlier during the Mobile World Congress, and is a device with a minimum of a front part and slightly curved edges of the display left and right. The source indicates that Mexico’s flagship will debut in early may (in the countries of the first wave of Galaxy S8 is expected April 21) and will be available in black, Golden, silver, blue and purple colors.
According to recent reports, Samsung will introduce two versions of the smartphone — the Galaxy S8 with a 5.8-inch display and Galaxy S8+ with 6.2-inch screen (in both cases a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels). In addition to the curves of the screen on the edge of the case, they will learn how to register by clicking on the analogy of the 3D Touch in the iPhone. Among the cosmetic changes is the transfer of the “Home” button on the back side near the camera (the button will be integrated fingerprint sensor). Despite the trends, Samsung has decided to retain a 3.5 mm audio Jack along with USB-C.
As the hardware will perform a new 10-nm single-chip platform Qualcomm Snapdragon or Exynos 835 8895 (depending on model), 4/6 GB RAM, 64 GB of flash memory UFS 2.1. More compact model will be equipped with a battery capacity of 3250 mAh, and larger — 3600 mAh, will support wireless charging and protection from water and dust.
The author of the collection also offers a few pictures for comparison Galaxy S8 iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and several other smartphones. Among them is LG 20 and recently submitted Honor V9 with a 5.7-inch screen, comparable in size with Galaxy S8+.
One of the new features of the line will be a scanner of the iris of the eye, like the Galaxy Note7 withdrawn. It is also expected the emergence of a personal voice assistant Bixby.
All this is a rumor as published images, so you should take them with some skepticism. The official presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be held March 29.
