Nokia has filed new lawsuits against Apple: now we are talking 40 patents and 11 countries

Nokia sent new claims against Apple in courts of different countries of the world due to the fact that the products of “Apple” company allegedly violate its patents. If in the beginning of the week it was about Germany and the United States, now the case will be heard in the courts of 11 countries, involving 40 patents of the Finnish manufacturer.

Nokia claims against Apple in Germany and the United States was followed by similar action in other countries. The Finnish manufacturer has published a complete list, putting the number of patents, violation of which he accuses Apple of each case.

In addition, Nokia asked the international trade Commission of the USA with the complaint, claiming that Apple violated 8 patents. The company’s claims cover patents on the technology of displays, user interfaces, software, manufacturing of antennas, chipsets, and video encoding.

After starting the claim proceedings, Apple filed suit against Nokia. In Cupertino stated that the plaintiff had excluded the part of patents from the agreement in 2011 and handed them over to third parties “in order to extort additional payments”. She asked the court to charge the Nokia losses, and confirm the breach of contract on her part.
