MTS launches alternative to Skype, Viber and WhatsApp. Appropriate mobile MTS Connect app will be available on iOS and Android December 14. About it reported in a press release.
The service is based on standard RCS (Rich Communication Services) developed by the International GSM Association (GSMA), and will allow you to make voice calls, share personal messages, create group chats and send files via mobile Internet or Wi-Fi.
The call will be carried out in accordance with the tariff plan of the subscriber in the “home region”, the additional fee will not be charged, even if the subscriber is in roaming in Russia and abroad (if connected via wifi).
Mobile traffic app MTS Connect (except file transfer) will not be charged. As a separate dignity is mentioned the identification by mobile phone number.
Earlier it became known that the Ministry may prohibit the use of substitute numbers when implementing voice calls via the Internet that can make available phone calls via Skype.
