Operating system Windows 10 two months after release is installed on more than 110 million devices around the world. This was announced by Microsoft during the presentation of its new products.
In the early days was carried out every second on the average for 162 installations. The number of registered participants in the program Windows Insider, which allows to obtain the update as a matter of priority, at the time of release of Windows 10 was approximately 5 million.
For the first day after the release of Windows 10 in late August downloaded 14 million times. After nine days the number of installations reached 27 million units, after 2.5 weeks 53 million, a month – 75 million Upgrade to the new operating system continue to receive all new users. Therefore, in the near future is unlikely to reduce the rate of penetration of Windows 10.
However, some users have installed the operating system on the virtual machine and technique, released in 2007. The number of downloads of apps from the Windows store has increased 6 times in comparison with similar indicators for Windows 8 store. The company noted that users started to actively download and buy apps for Windows 10, which has already led to growth of incomes of developers in 4 times.
The company from Redmond hopes to reach 1 billion installations of Windows 10 in the next three years. Currently available OS versions Home and Pro, and Enterprise, and Education for desktop computers, but before the end of the year should go to two operating system versions for mobile devices and for Xbox One. Both versions of the new Windows already tested.
Yesterday, Microsoft introduced two new Lumia smartphone, tablet and laptop Surface, a second version of the smart bracelet Microsoft Band, and augmented reality glasses HoloLens.
