LG stopped selling the smart watch, the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition because of a hardware problem

LG announced the termination of sales of the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition. It is the first smartwatch running Android Wear, with cellular modem with the ability to make calls and support of networks of third (3G) and fourth (4G/LTE) generations.

As it became known, in Seoul went to the feedback device due to an unexpected hardware problem encountered, the nature of which, unfortunately, is not specified. However, according to media reports, they directly affect the everyday use of the device.

LG do not talk about the timing of the resumption of sales of the Watch Urbane LTE 2nd Edition and not ruling out a smart watch with support for cellular networks may not be back on store shelves.

In the LG message reads as follows: “the Question is whether the device is available in the long term will be determined later. Now our priority is to sell only those products that meet our quality standards. We apologize for the inconvenience”.

The device was presented at the beginning of October this year. LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition started to arrive in shops from early November in the U.S. and Korea, and then should appear on the key regions of Europe, Asia and the CIS. The model has a round POLED screen with a diameter of 1.38 inch resolution 480 x 480 pixels (348 ppi). The body is made of stainless steel and the strap is made of TPSiV elastomer, or leather.

The further fate of the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition is not yet clear. It is possible that the manufacturer refuses to bring them to market.
