A new study has shown that iPhone X sold better than the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. The comparison was performed for the first three days of availability each of the devices.
According to analysts from Localytics, during the first weekend the smartphone has captured almost 1% market share among all iPhone models. This is a good start of sales since the advent of the iPhone 5.
For comparison, analysts estimate the total number of sold iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in the first weekend of 0.3% and 0.4% respectively. The launch of these devices took place in September 2017. Many fans of Apple products may have preferred to wait for the start of sales of iPhone X from the beginning.
It is worth considering that analysts do not have accurate figures. The number of users who received the device, measured through the huge database of applications that are integrated with Localytics SDK.
It is also important to remember that today users have much more iPhones than in previous years. For this reason, the task of winning market share becomes more complicated for each new Apple smartphone.
