iPhone X and iPhone 8 charge to 50% in 30 minutes

At yesterday’s presentation, Tim cook said that the new smartphones support wireless charging. However, more important is the ability to quickly recharge your iPhone when running out of time.

Talking about the possibilities of the new iPhone, Tim cook casually mentioned one very interesting detail — smartphones support quick charging and can recover up to 50% battery charge in 30 minutes.

Fast charging will slightly reduce the overall recovery time of full battery charge iPhone, although it is not very noticeable. The principle of fast charging allows you to restore a certain percentage of battery charge in a short time. Further, the more charged the battery is, the slower you will recover the remaining percent. This will allow you to quickly restore the operation of the smartphone when the battery is almost completely discharged. The slowdown as the recovery of the battery level allows to increase its service life.

Fast charging works only when the smartphone is connected to a power source using the cable. Wireless charging is carried out gradually and slowly.
