This week Apple released the statistics of sales of new smartphone iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. In total, the company sold for the first three days, more than 13 million new phones. Some of the machines were in great demand, in Cupertino did not elaborate. However, according to analysts Localytics, the iPhone 6s sells four times better than iPhone 6s Plus. This means that Apple could implement 10.3 million iPhone 6s in the first weekend.
Analysts expect record sales of the new models, but on a smaller level: 10-13 million sales of the iPhone 6/6 Plus last year during the first weekend after the start amounted to 10 million.
“While Apple reports record sales iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, our research shows that smartphones are inferior to the rate of proliferation of its predecessors the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. A week later on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus 1.9 percent of all iPhone sold, while last year during the same period, the result of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus accounted for 2.7%”, – analysts say.
In Localytics call this result natural. In 2013 this week the share release share of iPhone 5s and 5c was 1.2%, whereas a year earlier the iPhone 5 could boast a share of 3.1% over the same period.
“According to our estimates, the share of the iPhone 6s is 1.5%, and the iPhone 6 Plus is 0.4%. This means that the 4.7-inch Apple smartphone is nearly four times more popular than “older” brother. The first buyers of gadgets prefer a more compact model of the flagship Communicator,” added analysts.
In Russia and approximately forty countries iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be sold, starting 9 October and the end of the year sales will cover more than 130 countries in the world. On the Russian market version of the iPhone 6s 16 GB flash memory will cost 56 990 rubles, with 64 GB — 65 990 rubles, with 128 GB — 74 990 rubles. The same varieties of iPhone 6s Plus estimated 65 990, 990 74 and 83 990 rubles.
