How to restore iOS 10.2 on iPhone and iPad without updating and losing jailbreak

The utility Eraser Cydia from Jay Freeman is the ability to restore the original OS version and jailbreak without updating the firmware. Unfortunately, to optimize Cydia Eraser under the latest iOS version 10 requires too much time, so in stepped third-party developers.

If you have any problems with the jailbreak, you can remove it and restore the iOS 10.2 using the program OSRestoreX. In this case you will have an opportunity later again to break the gadget.

Step 1: First of all, make sure you have backed up your data on the device with which you want to work with. When restoring the original firmware all the contents of your smartphone will be deleted.

Step 2: Run Cydia. Navigate to Sources > Edit and click the “Add” button. Paste the following URL repository: http://coolstar.org/publicrepo. Hit “Add source”.

Step 3: Repeat these steps, but now enter the address http://repo.jailbreakhub.org.

Step 4: In Cydia go to search tab and locate the package for Stashing 9.2-10.2. Install it.

Step 5: Go to “Sources” and select the newly added repository jailbreakhub. Then click on “All packages” and locate the tool OSRestoreX. After installing it will start the process of deleting the files. Upon completion the display will show red and yellow text before crashing Cydia. This is understandable, since Cydia will be completely removed, though you’ll still see the app icon on the home screen.

Step 6: Navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings.

Once the process is complete, you will see that it is returned to the original settings, but remained on the same firmware version without losing opportunities to re-jailbreak.
