How to migrate from the beta version of iOS 11 for the official release

When Apple releases the next iOS update, many users are tempted immediately to try it out by installing the beta version for developers. It is worth remembering that this is not the final build of the operating system, so they can contain a significant amount of bugs and work unstable.

If you have installed iOS beta 11 and have had issues in the operation of the device, the best solution would be a transition to the release version. There are two options how to do it.

Option 1: downgrade to the latest final version of iOS

Probably the most correct solution would be to install previous builds. For example, if you have already installed iOS 11, but ran into bugs, you can perform the downgrade to iOS 10.3.2.

In this case you have to restore your iPhone or iPad, which entails data loss. Also worth bearing in mind that a backup made on iOS 11, does not work with iOS 10.

How to perform the downgrade from iOS 11 beta to official version

Step 1. First, make sure you have saved any important data on your device.

Step 2. Download the latest release version for your iPhone or iPad to your computer.

Step 3. If the option is enabled Find my iPhone, go to Settings -> Apple ID -> iCloud and disable it.

Step 4. Connect the device to your computer and launch iTunes, then click the tab with information about your device in iTunes.

Step 5. Hold down Option on Mac or Shift on Windows, click “Restore iPhone…”.

Step 7. Select it, everything else iTunes does.

Step 8. After iOS is installed 10.3.2, you will have to configure everything again, or restore from a backup made prior to installing iOS 11.

Option 2: upgrade to the official version

If you have installed iOS beta 11, in the future you will be able to perform an update to the final version and delete the developer profile that you do not come prerelease iOS build.

How to upgrade from beta to the latest public version

Step 1. Go to Settings -> General -> Profiles and control. device. And select “iOS Beta Software Profile.”

Step 2. Click the “Delete account” and confirm by entering your password. iPhone or iPad will restart. Keep in mind that you still use preview for developers, but because the certificate is deleted, the new version you will not be getting.

Step 3. Go to Settings -> General -> software Update. If available any update, install it – it will be the final build of iOS.

As you can see, there are a few options to refuse participation in the beta testing of iOS. If you want to install the latest available iOS version 10, use the first method. If you want to upgrade to the new iOS and to refuse testing, then you fit the second way.
