Moscow authorities have launched a new service for smartphones, which allows each resident to become a Parking inspector. Any person with a mobile app “Wizard of Moscow” will be able to fight against illegal Parking. The app is available for iOS and Android.
Despite the continuous development of Parking spaces, not all motorists comply with Parking rules and Parking. In Moscow today 435 Parking monitors who control 47 000 paid Parking spaces and more than 4 000 kilometres of roads. Parking monitors do not have time to fix all violations. The app “Aide of Moscow” will give the opportunity to any member of the road directly involved in the regulation of traffic in the city.
“The assistant of Moscow” has no analogues in Russia. The camera app in automatic mode detects violations of the rules of Parking charges. Any road user who noticed the vehicle the offender can take a picture of it, and recorded material will be sent to the relevant patterns for the making of the order on the owner of the car. In addition, for the convenience of users, the application provides “hints”, you must be diligent and follow them for reliable fixation of the violation.
To access the application, you must register on the portal of state services of Moscow and download the app. The application is available for installation on any modern smartphone that has a camera with 5 megapixels or higher, 50 MB of free space and GPS/GLONASS receiver.
At the moment, users are offered the option of fixing the violations in the area of paid Parking. In the future will be available range of signs “no Stopping” and “Parking prohibited” (October 2015), zone of the sidewalk, pedestrian walkways and lawns.
The app will improve road safety, increase the capacity of the road network, including to improve the performance of surface transport, and to reduce the number of violations of traffic rules that have a beneficial effect on the traffic situation in General.
The human factor is excluded: sending data is possible only from a place of fixing of violations, there is an electronic signature for all your photos, your device is protected from tampering, and data is transferred over encrypted channels.
