Google maps has learned to warn people about the queues

Google maps will be able to suggest to users in any public places — cafes, cinemas, restaurants — too crowded and thus to save them from waiting in lines. To this end, the company has added on card institutions information about the busiest hours during the day.

A new feature is described on the company’s official page in Google+. Choose a place, whether restaurant, café or gym, the user, in addition to the address and mode of operation, will also see a schedule of attendance at the institution during the week and different times of day. For example, the Moscow planetarium is most filled Wednesday in the middle of the day — for some reason during these hours it is filled to capacity.

According to the developers, the function will help to avoid standing in line, and tell me, at what time, for example, it is better to book a table. Users will be easier to plan your visits to a particular location, say in Google.

As is usually the case, the new capability is now available for all. Base “schedules” queue will be updated over time. The company promises that the information about hours, which should not attend the school, will be added to millions of locations worldwide.

Note that Google recently expanded traffic information for dozens of cities in Russia and increased the list of road types for which to show information about the volume and speed of traffic.
