Galaxy S9 can get enhanced face scanner

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ can get advanced system of biometric identification of the user’s face and the retina of the eye. According to reports ETNews, the Corporation intends to improve the functionality programmatically.

The source reports that both smartphones will be equipped with a front camera of 8 MP, the same as in the Galaxy S8 and S8+. Despite the same module, the scanners on the new devices will work faster and will also get exclusive software improvements.

All the latest smartphones Samsung Galaxy S and Note are equipped with face scanners and retina of the eye. The company has long promoted these features as a possible alternative procedure old the fingerprint sensor. However, scanning the faces in the Samsung devices are not capable to provide due level of protection of user information. The identification system can be fooled with a simple photograph.

Samsung is a trendsetter when it comes to biometric authentication systems. Presented in September 2017 X iPhone with new Face ID technology, which performs 3D scanning of the user’s face in the infrared range and capable to work in any light. Unlike its competitors, the function shows the highest level of protection of user data.
