Foxconn and Sharp have plans to open a plant for the production of LCDs in the USA

Foxconn, the Taiwanese contract manufacturer of Apple products, and Japanese “daughter” Sharp plans to open a plant for the production of LCD displays in the USA. Such information includes publication Nikkei, referring to one of the employees Sharp.

“The plan now being discussed by the company management. We will make a decision after careful consideration”, – said a top Manager of Sharp, who wished to remain anonymous.

During the race he was regularly criticized in relation to coming so firms, stressing that they deprive Americans of jobs. The Republican has repeatedly promised that, as President, will take on these companies measures, for example, impose new duties on their products.

“Apple and other major companies will begin to produce their iPhone, computers and other products in America, not in China, not in other countries. We start to produce goods in their country and to create jobs that are good for our country,” said trump. And Foxconn and Sharp are the main partners of Apple.

As noted by Nikkei, the construction of a plant in the U.S. could cost the companies about $8.7 billion This amount Foxconn and Sharp are going to invest in the establishment of a plant for the production of TV panels in Guangzhou (China) by the fall of 2018.
