For most iPhone customers SE the cost was a key factor when choosing a smartphone

In most major electronics stores, the first batch of iPhone SE, not tied to the SIM card of the operator, has successfully sold out. After the start of sales of the device analysts didn’t predict the big buzz around the smartphone, however, such predictions turned out to be far from reality.

After analyzing SE iPhone sales during the first two weeks since launch, the experts came to the conclusion that for most buyers of the model the key factor is the cost. According to the research analyst, Japanese Naofumi Kagame, the most affordable version of the iPhone SE with 16 GB of memory was twice more popular than the 64-Gigabyte modification.

The data given are, of course, relevant primarily for Japan. However the statistics shows the trend is true: the price is a key factor in choosing iPhone SE. If the unit cost is not $399, and $449 or $499, it is unlikely that Apple could sell the entire first batch of devices in one week. Now the unit is not available in most outlets USA, and also in the online store. Next shipment iPhone SE is expected only in the twentieth of April.

Apple went on unusual step and released affordable smartphone with flagship performance. The low price tag compared to top-end solutions and attracted purchasers.

Note that in Russia, Apple focuses on the price in euros, so the cost of iPhone SE with a storage capacity of 16 GB is 37 990 rubles, 64 GB will cost 10,000 rubles more.
