Facebook has released a Video app for Apple TV

In February Facebook announced a special app for smart TVs and set-top boxes Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. The exact release date is not known, but now a program called “Video” officially became available for owners of Apple set-top box of the fourth generation.

The Facebook app allows you to view videos posted by your friends and companies that are subscribed. Also available is a search feature clips on the social network. Facebook gives Video recommendations based on preferences and activity on the site.

The next move is Facebook in the fight against YouTube, a popular video service, which users are viewing a video in total more than a billion hours a day. This official YouTube app has long been present on “smart” TVs and set-top boxes. Twitter previously released on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Xbox One own app for conducting live broadcasts.
