Debut album Dr. Dre “The Chronic” will be exclusive to Apple Music

During the presentation of the new streaming music service Apple Music, its creators promised that the platform directory will include exclusive content from well-known performers. To start as scheduled on 30 June, and with it, the public will be presented the first exclusive – this song is a famous musician Farrell Williams Freedom. But this is not the only unique content Apple Music. It became known today that the debut album “The Chronic” by Dr. Dre will also be available exclusively on the Apple service.

The Chronic came out in 1992 on their own label Death Row musician. The album was named after a slang word for marijuana. On many tracks from the album were also recorded Snoop Dogg, who was just beginning his career.

The Chronic has received positive reviews from many critics and was a success in the charts. The album debuted at third place on the Billboard 200, selling over 3 million copies, which helped Dr. Dre to become one of the top 10 performers in 1993. In 2003, the album was put on the 137th place in the list of “the 500 greatest albums of all time” of Rolling Stone magazine. At the moment, The Chronic is not available in any streaming service.

Another unique work in Apple Music will be an album “1989” singer Taylor swift. It’s impossible to listen nor to Spotify or other streaming services as a matter of principle contractor. Previously, swift has said it will deny access to the record and on the Apple service, where users are offered three months free usage period, assuming and musicians during this time will not receive payments.
