PJSC “AVTOVAZ” plans to integrate in-car support Apple CarPlay. About it reports Interfax with reference to the representatives of the company.
In the framework of the project in the field of connected car “AVTOVAZ” intends to integrate into the vehicles of modern multimedia services. In the first phase, the company concluded an agreement with Yandex, which will develop and adapt infotainment and navigation services the vehicle manufacturer.
The agreement provides that “Yandex” will participate in the creation of the multimedia system of AVTOVAZ on the level of adaptation of their Internet services. AvtoVAZ, in turn, integrates multimedia system services “Yandex” on the main part of producing Lada cars. First of all it is about the adaptation of geoinformation services of Yandex — “Yandex.Navigator”, “Yandex.Cards”, “Yandex.Tube”.
“It is too early to say how it will be integrated services. First of all, we will work on the integration of “Yandex.Navigator”,” – said the Internet company.
In the second phase, “AVTOVAZ” plans to introduce cars of media-services of Yandex – “Yandex.Music”, “Yandex.Radio”, “Yandex.Browser”, as well as interfaces Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Technology Apple CarPlay will display the features of the iPhone on the screen of the onboard system of the car. This will enable you to control the Apple Music, you will use voice commands to access contacts, make phone calls, view missed calls, listen to voice mail.
“We are ready to integrate our services into a multimedia Android system vehicles and to adapt the services under other operating systems and services (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto). We also plan not only connect finished services but also provide complete solution for automakers,” – said in “Yandex”.
