Apple released the second beta of WatchOS 2 for developers

Together with cumulative updates iOS 9 beta 2 and OS X El Capitan beta 2 from Apple became available for download the second beta version of the new platform for smart watches watchOS 2. With the release of the first beta to developers now have access to the tools to create native applications for wearable wrist device.

Update watchOS 2 beta 2 will allow developers to test software that runs directly on the Apple Watch, and use sensors smart watches and wheel Digital Crown. Currently in the App Store there is no single program that works directly on the Apple Watch. All third party software is processed on the phone and the watch are the only external control module and data display.

Thanks SDK and watchOS 2 users will be able to fill the screen of the Apple Watch “friends” for device applications. The platform also includes three new variants of design of the dial, including the ability to set as a background image, any image or membrane, the function of Time Travel to view upcoming events and forecast weather using a Digital Crown, support for multiple colors to create sketches using the function wheel and the ability to bring users to your favorites from the primary partition. Another important feature of watchOS 2 is to support the security function Activation Lock protecting the device from theft.

With the release of the final version of watchOS 2 users will be able to respond to emails directly from the watch, and view the screen videos. Another new update is the “night-time” dial to operate the device as an alarm clock, while the gadget is charging.

Firmware watchOS 2 will be available to the public only in late autumn. But developers can start creating native applications now.
