Apple: iOS 10 installed on almost 80% of compatible devices

Apple on Wednesday has published statistics on the distribution of the operating system iOS 10, according to which the current version of the software platform, the company now has 79% of mobile devices compatible with it.

This means that from the beginning of January this year, when was the last time the statistics were produced, adaptation iOS 10 increased by 3%. IOS 9 for this period has decreased from 18% to 16%, the remaining 5% retained for older versions of Apple’s OS.

It is significant that last year at this time iOS 9 was set at 77% of all compatible devices as of iOS 8 to achieve this result took altogether 9 months. So iOS 10 is the most popular OS among the immediate predecessors.

One of the reasons of the popularity of the actual Apple operating system can be record sales of its flagship smartphones, including the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
