Apple has updated the video editor Clips

In the second version of the Apple Clips added new effects, support for iCloud, iPhone X and camera TrueDepth. This is the first major update of the editor since the first release in March 2017.

The main new feature of the updated Apple Clips was the support of animated 360-degree scenes, which were said at the presentation on September 12. This mode uses the front camera TrueDepth, so it works only on the iPhone X. With the camera, the app scans the user’s face and replaces the surrounding background on the digital scene. The application is available over the ten animated scenes, including spacecraft “Millennium Falcon” and “Mega-fighter” from the movie “Star wars: the Last Jedi”. In every scene there is a selfie-a filter that stylize a face of the user under the selected scene.

The app has simplified the interface, changing the navigation filters, stickers, labels and Emoji. Thanks to the support iCloud synchronization, the video can be edited on different devices. Apple also added new stickers Disney and Pixar, labels, soundtracks, and four filters.

Apple Clips 2.0 available in the App Store. Supported smartphones and tablets, starting from iPhone 5s and iPad Air on iOS 11.1 and above.
