Apple has received another patent for the fingerprint scanner built into the smartphone display

Apple received a patent on technology that, among other things, provides the ability to stop the fingerprint scanner Touch ID in the Home button. The technology will likely find application in iPhone 8.

This week Apple has registered a series of patents on various ways of integrating biometric module to the smartphone display. Documents published on the website of the Bureau of patents and trademarks of the United States.

According to the description of the technology, Apple not only plans to remove the individual sensor, but also to make the scanner’s features took on the screen of the mobile device.

The document States that the new fingerprint scanner “can be useful for quicker authentication, especially when using third-party applications for smartphones”.
