Apple has hired the former Director of the TV channel WGN America, intending thereby to expand its presence in the television world. According to the publication Variety, Matt Cherniss (Matt Cherniss) will head the division of Apple dedicated to the creation of video content.
Earlier, Cherniss has created a name for himself on television by launching several original TV show on WGN America. The most famous of them — “Salem” and “Manhattan” — was well received by critics. After the channel was acquired by Sinclair Broadcasting and moved creation of original content into the background, Cherniss announced his dismissal. Apparently, that’s when he looked after the leadership of Apple.
The company Tim cook is still very slowly moving into the television market. The first efforts of Apple in this area was music videos Pharrell Williams (Pharrell Williams) – concert movie Taylor swift (Taylor Swift), and then the documentary “808” and the popular show Karaoke Carpool.
