Apple wants to register two trademarks related to Apple Watch. They are intended for certification of equipment that connects to the watch. It is reported by iDownloadBlog.
Applications for registration of trademarks were filed June 23, 2017, two weeks after WWDC 2017. They include three international class of goods and services:
- Class 9: software in the field of health, fitness, exercise, and Wellness services.
- Class 10: medical instruments and devices.
- Class 28 : exercise machines and equipment and devices to strengthen the body.
For the first time this trademark was shown in the demo video, when they presented a platform GymKit. The equipment can transmit information to the watch to the Health app.
According to rumors, Apple is developing a sensor of the ECG in the form of a strap for the Apple Watch. It can detect abnormal cardiac rhythm and atrial fibrillation.
