Apple has announced the release of app Amazon Prime Video for branded TV set-top box at WWDC 2017. The release took place only six months later.
On this occasion, the company issued a separate press release:
“App Amazon Prime Video is now available to owners of Apple TV fourth generation and Apple TV 4K. Starting today, users worldwide will be able to enjoy an exclusive TV shows and movies Amazon television shows including The Grand Tour”.
About the new applications for TV set-top box, Apple Vice-President eddy cue:
“Amazon Prime Video one of the most anticipated services for the Apple TV, and we can’t wait to give our users the opportunity to watch your favorite TV shows and movies.”
It is important to note that service users who have subscription, can stream the exclusive movies in 4K resolution, but with limitations on the sound quality.
New generation Apple TV was presented at the September presentation in the “Theater of Steve jobs”. Along with it, Apple announced the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and Apple Watch with LTE module.
